Mary Beth works remotely from North Carolina. She serves as the lead math assessment developer for EVI. She is responsible for writing and scoring math assessments, managing math curriculum and standards changes, and ensuring the integrity of DATAMATE’s math item bank.
Mary Beth holds a BA in Biology from SUNY Plattsburgh, teaching certification credits from Meredith College in Raleigh, NC and an MS in Curriculum Development and Instructional Technology from U Albany. She has 25 years of experience teaching math in grades 3 – 10, as well as 10 years spent as a photolithography engineer for IBM. She has been a National Board-Certified Teacher (Middle Childhood Generalist) for over 20 years and is a New York State Master Teacher Emeritus.
As a volunteer, Mary Beth is the Outreach Coordinator for the Future Cities NC region, helping to recruit, support and manage teams and engineering mentors for this national middle school STEM competition. Her hobbies include golf, sewing/quilting, and singing in her church’s choir.
