GraceFischerGrace is an expert in K-12 assessment design and publication who brings a wealth of knowledge, experience, and passion to her work. Her areas of expertise include developing best practices, ensuring quality assurance, and implementing validity metrics for all exams. She collaborates with curriculum specialists to produce a wide range of assessments, giving districts valuable data for instructional analysis. Grace also works closely with EVI’s software developers to enhance the user-interface of DataMate Elite’s digital library with over 80,000 assessment items.

Grace is committed to promoting inclusivity and cultural responsiveness in all assessments, and she possesses a deep understanding of international, multi-state learning standards. She aspires to make a positive impact on the education community and ensure that all students have access to high-quality, culturally responsive, and inclusive assessments.

Grace is a Vermont native, her close proximity to nature inspired a life-long passion for environmental preservation. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in English, with a minor in Law & Philosophy from the University at Albany.

She has played classical and contemporary piano for 20 years and performed recitals to raise funds for elderly care and those with disabilities. She is an avid reader who is particularly captivated by the literary works of Anne Sexton, James Baldwin, Brandon Sanderson, and Margaret Atwood. And in her spare time, Grace enjoys writing short stories, traveling, exploring historical architecture, and spending time with her family, friends, and pets.
