Jerry was involved in education for 41 years before his retirement from the Kingston City School District as the Superintendent of Schools. He had taught English and Spanish at the middle school and high school levels, and was a middle school principal in Chatham, Ichabod Crane, and Clarkstown School districts. Jerry graduated from Marist College with a BA in Spanish, Middlebury College with a MA in Spanish, and SUNY New Paltz with a SAS, an CAS, and SDA certificates.

Jerry has always enjoyed theatre, beginning acting at Marist College where he met his wife on the college stage, and continued acting and directing after graduating in school productions and community theatre.  His son Jerry, is also a Marist College graduate, and both were recently inducted into the Marist College theatre Hall of Fame.  Jerry’s daughter Theresa and her husband Jamie, are both following in his footsteps as middle school teachers.
